60th Anniversary of the Planting of the Boddhi Tree

Dear Friends of DG,

The temple will be celebrating the 60th Anniversary of the Planting of the Boddhi Tree on 28th Feb 2009 (Sat). It is a big event, with SM Goh Chok Tong as our guest of honour. As such, much help is required for this very special day.

Prep work begins for the youth this Sunday (22nd Feb) at 10am. We will need to put up the flags, clear out the cultural hall, move the plastice chairs to the cultural hall....amongst many other things. Please come this sunday,so that you can also be briefed on the actual days' tasks..... which is quite a handful. It is therefore of utter importance that everyone knows their role on that particular day.

For those who really can't make it on 22nd feb, we will also be very busy on 27th feb 6pm on wards, and 28th Feb from 7.30am on.

Pleeeeze email or sms Pauline asap, to let us know if you are available on these days. We need to plan our human power.

STATUS UPDATE

Dear Friends of DG,

The temple will be celebrating the 60th Anniversary of the Planting of the Boddhi Tree on 28th Feb 2009 (Sat). It is a big event, with SM Goh Chok Tong as our guest of honour. As such, much help is required for this very special day. The actual event commences at 5pm , and will last till about 10pm.Youth members are requested to be at temple by 2pm, if possible, to render your services.

We successfully and efficiently decorated temple and cleaned out the cultural hall yesterday, with the help of Buddhika, Gobi, Sanka, Chami, Avanthi, Duranka, Eranda, Pauline, Siew Choo, Diyana, and moral support from Nisansala... Thanks plenty ya all !!

Now.... much help is again needed on Feb 27th, (Fri) , from afternoon on. most can probably only come after work or school, so please do so. We'll need to help with making flower garlands, setting up stage and lots more... (you'll find out if you come) . As per norma, we'll be busy till the late hours.
