Vesak Day

Dear Friends of DG,

Vesak is a week and a half away. Our prep work for the occassion begins this weekend. There'll be a briefing on our tasks and duties at 9.30am on Friday,1st May 2009 (please be on time, Uncle Sunil, president of the temple,will be briefing us; and ... Bhante Ratanasara has to attend dana by 11.30am !!).

After our lunch, help will be required to decorate the temple, and put up flags. If you still have the energy thereafter.... you can help with the making of the Vesak laterns.... and many other "around the temple tasks".

Please come this Friday, so you'll know your duties for Vesak day.

IF you really can't come on Friday,1st May, Pleeeze come on 9th May (Vesak day), before 9am... in DG t-shirt and long pants/jeans, (those without DG t-shirts please put on a white t-shirt). As usual, lots of help is required on that day, so even if you are able to make it for a few hours, its better than none.

As we need to have an idea of the number of volunteers for Vesak, please email dhamma_gavesi@yahoo.com, Or sms Pauline to confirm your attendance.

* Please note, a new attendance sheet has been generated, in accordance to the proposal made at our recent Annual Meeting. Whenever you attend any Dhamma Gavesi events or meetings, please approach Chami or Pauline, so that we can acknowledge your attendance.
